The year 2008. Old principles have to fall. Alex and Greg lose themselves in the question whether it would be possible to combine an intellectual claim with hard electronic music, as you can find it on the good dancefloors of the world. The question demands it all, the gap wants to be filled, Alex and Greg can’t resist the madness and give it a name: Skyla Vertex.
Even though it was a rather random creation, the name mirrors the message they wanted to deliver: “Skyla” can be found in the swedish language and can be translated as “to hide”, or “to bury”; The word “Vertex” is latin and is used to describe a turning point in geometric terminology, it can also be translated as “mesh” or “nodal point”. Thus, Skyla Vertex takes its creative power from all the unknown corners of mind, unusual perspectives and the last shelter of soul: The insanity.
Skyla Vertex shows that harsh beats and an intellectual claim don’t need to contradict each other. The upcoming debut Album “Urwerk” is actually a full-grown concept album with 15 tracks (incl. Remixes by NACHTMAHR, PETER SPILLES and a Guest-Vocals-Version with ORANGE SECTOR), which isn’t exactly rare in synth- and futurepop, but a lot more so in Industrial.
